HOW IT AFFECTS SOCIETY & HUMAN WELLBEING
---
Human trafficking devastatingly affects societies and the human wellbeing of our communities, considering the grave infringement of human rights. It has a calamitous impact on individuals who were victims of the perpetrator’s hands and often suffer emotional or physical abuse, rape and threats that are against themselves or their families, or even death. These nightmarish experiences often lead to trauma that have long-lasting detrimental effects.

CONT.

Due to these dilemmas, it results in families and individuals feeling unsafe or uncomfortable in their community and are in fear of walking around the area alone. This means that the news and factors of a victim being trafficked alone, can conclude in an unstable community/society and has a grave impact on an individual’s emotional, physical or overall psychological development.
